I am working on designing a multilayer THz absorber using FDTD simulations and want to predict its broadband absorption spectra using deep learning (DL). How can I start my working on a neural network? Are there any tutorials or code examples that combine FDTD simulations with DL for absorption prediction? I’m also interested in inverse design—predicting optimal layer thicknesses for a target spectrum. Any guidance on validation method would be greatly appreciated!
Hello. I assume you want to work in 1D space. So, prior to broadband I would do a narrowband analysis, and prior to narrowband I would do a monochromatic one. So my question is, is there any literature where this information is generated by FDTD or analytically? Also, is this for progressive or stationary wave propagation? I think that first it's important to understand this matter before one can do some sort of extrapolation with DL to additional frequencies. Sorry to answer a question with a question.
