Hi Chitra; I'm afraid I don't understand your issue quite well, since plotting in R is not a dificult task, supposed you have your data well organized to do so... Anyway, "raw" R is often quite thorny and devious; so I suggest that you better use a more friendly environment such as RStudio. Once you data are arranged at your convenience you just invoke the command "plot(data)" or any of its family (i.e., scatterplot). To do so and to obtain the best results, I recommend you to have the pack "ggplot2" installed.

There are of course many ways to get more complex graphs and the output you get depends on the information you want and the parameters you select.

In case of any additional doubts you always can access a pretty friendly help menu when using RStudio.

I attach here some documents that can help you in any cases with RStudio.

Hei Dear Enrique,

Sorry for late to communicate. I was away. Thank you a lot for your good suggestion.

I am using Rstudio since long.

I have also install ggplot2 and reshape package in R.

My problem is I can not manage to plot 3 variables in one space.

I have 12 months, five sites and water quality parameters such as dissolve oxygen, turbidity, current, velocity, depth, as well as fish species abundance data.

Hi again, dear Chitra,

Well, in fact you have a number of choices not only in ggplot2 (where you can invoke multiplot functions) and with other packages as well (say "scatterplot", "scatterplot3d" and others); the thing (the real thing) is that toy have to understand the syntax involved in order to get the plot you wish.

If you like I can give you a hand with your data or, I can make some plots using a well known database (i.e. "Iris") and send you back the scripts for each one of them...

But, I repeat: you HAVE to understand the syntax in order to have a tailored plot that best fit with your wishes (I suggest you can watch some good training videos on the subject that con can find in Youtube).
