It doesn't matter if I plot with Matlab or any other tools

I asked this question, because I think for the computations you need only some formulations, and for graphics it is easier to use other tools, specially made for this purpose.

The function hmmviterbi can be used to calculate the most likely path through the HMM.

By determining the path, one can draw the state transition diagram.
