I have used Anaconda+Spyder and also Pycharm for python code developments. I am having difficulties with installing external packages, using either CONDA or PIP. It is very common for me to see error regarding conflict between the packages and versions. Is there a painless, hassle-free approach to install a set of compatible external libraries for python?

When I need to install external packages into my python environments on Anaconda, I use pip, and don't have many problems, only in the cases where there are dependencies yet not installed. In these cases, I install them and the problems are solved. I believe the pip installer will look for the suitable package for your version (2.x or 3.x).
The same goes to the packages in the Anaconda repositoires throught the conda.
Nevertheless, whenever I have a problem I look for the answers in the python / anaconda users' forums, and this has always helped me.

Victor Diogho Heuer de Carvalho Thank you very much. Yes, I think I need to solve my errors case by case and there is no general cure for all of them. Some times I need to remove one package to make the other one works. That's bad.

Could you give an example of such an error? It would be helpful to understand the problem. I am using Anaconda for several years now and so far I never had any trouble (always mixing pip and conda as the installation method).
