Now I would like to merge the past profile with the new one ([email protected])

ResearchGate: If you have two separate profiles on ResearchGate, you can contact their support to merge the accounts.
To change to your new email:
Click your profile picture (top right) and select Settings. In the Email address section, click Add new email. Enter your new institutional email address and click Add. ResearchGate will send a verification email to the new address — open it and confirm. Once verified, go back to Settings, Email address, select your new address as the primary email.
