I have a question concerning analysis of oligosaccharides after hydrolysis of starch. I read that it is possible to use the HPLC to measure for example the glucose, maltose, maltotriose concentrations. How do I measure say the concentration of "dextrins"? Specifically, say I want to divide the products of starch hydrolysis into 4 main groups, i.e. glucose, maltose, maltotriose AND remaining dextrins. Can I determine from HPLC analysis the concentration or amount of "remaining dextrins"?

Thanks!
