To measure fishing pressure in recreational fishing, I use catch (number of caught fish), yield (biomass of caught fish), and visit rates (number of anglers). Then, I calculate catch per one fishing visit and yield per one fishing visit. It should work as a kind of CPUE (catch per unit of effort). When the CPUE is decreasing, the abundance of studied species should be decreasing as well. Is there any other way to measure fishing pressure?
