I need to have a heat source at 100 degree Celsius for my heat conduction experiment. The heat source temperature should remain constant for the duration of experiment (approx. 10 hours.)
I planned to use water container sue to its high heat capacity. However i am wondering if i will keep the lid close, the internal pressure will increase and will change the temperature and its difficult to keep the high pressure as well. On the other side, if i will keep the lid open, the whole room will be filled by steam (which is not desirable) and influence the heat conduction.
NOTE: I need to dip one end at into the heat source and other end heat sink and the specimen will remain at the open environment.
This is interesting problem!
Perhaps you may have your experiment with an ordinary heating element vessel
with very low input heat just to keep it at starting boiling. Fixed-position cover will raise pressure and temperature.
However, you may use moving weightless cover in a cylinder in order to have nearly 1 atm pressure with 100 C .
I do like to avoid cooling (condensation) process as it needs extra Heat exchanger. Hopefully, you come up with a better solution !!!
You can add Propylene Glycol, also known as Solar Heat Transfer Fluids or you can use Silicone oil with not so good heat capacity as water.

I recommend you to use Peltier modules for this,
With a suitable power rate Peltier cell you can have these temperatures (100 °C).
Peltier modules are very reliable at this range on maintaining a constant temperature for long periods.
The only thing you need is a current/voltage source with some electronics for the control, to generate a constant electric current through the module.

A possibility is to control the temperatuie in your closed container with a pressostat adjusted at 1 bar. As soon as the water boils, the pressure increases and the pressostat puts the heter off. When the pressure decreases, the pressostat puts the heater on. So the temperature of water remains at 100 °C without loosing a drop of water.
Also, the Peltier module as suggested by Franklin or an electric heater electronically controlled at 100 °C may also be convenient and maybe easier to use.
