There is a micro channel between two water tank. And inside the channel, there is a shaft. The shaft will move inside the channel as the white arrow showed. Then the question is that i want to keep the smooth movement of the shaft while keeping the good sealing performance. The good sealing performance means there will be no leaking of the tank's water inside the channel. Then how can i determine the gap or space or the tolerance between the shaft diameter and the channel diameter?
