Dear All

I am facing problem in joining two aluminium samples.

Sample description:

Sample 1: Al Plate: 160mm dia, 6mm thickness

Sample 2: Al Honeycomb: 6.4mm cell size, 50mm thickness.

Please refer figure for the joint.

Joint description: Joint should be thermally conductive.

Things I have tried and failed:

1. Brazing: failed, possible due to oxide bond

2. Soldering: failed, possible due to oxide bond

3. Adhesive bonding: pass, but time taking and cost ineffective

4. Mechanical mouting: Possible, but not thermally conducting due to air gap.

I request you to please give some ideas, the way I can move forward.

Thanks and regards

Navdeep
