I am trying to import wavelength spectrum (normalized intensity vs wavelength/frequency) of a lamp into Lumerical FDTD source. Ansys provides you an advanced option through scripting. The tittle of the option is "Creating a custom source spectrum for an FDTD source". However, in the example they are creating the dataset in the script. My data is experimental and is not possible to create. I have the data as csv file and I tried to use importdataset and importcsvlc codes in scripting. They have failed since they used for LC grid attributes, which I do not know what is it. I do not have any experience in lumerical scripting. Moreover, it is difficult to adjust manually the spectrum from source window by setting pulselength and offset values individually. Could someone help me about this issue?

Looks like no one has given you an answer after 24 hours. I can't really help much when it comes to Lumerical as I don't use it, but I know FDTD quite a fair bit.
With that said, for what reason do you need a specific spectral density in your simulation? Are you doing some odd non-linear calculations?
I am trying to overlap a dipole source spectrum with a plane wave spectrum. I discussed about this with a colleague. Apparently, inside Lumerical plane wave every wavelength has the same amplitude value. I tried to manually mimic dipole spectrum to experimental data then the data did not converge even though I increased the simulation time. What do you use for your FDTD projects?
I use my own software but I doubt this is going to help you much.
Now, it's not that every plane wave has the same amplitude in Lumerical, that wouldn't work. It's just that Lumerical renormalizes the various sensors for every wavelength so that it looks like the spectrum was flat.
In this case, if you want to have a "custom" source spectrum in your results, it's easier to do it afterwards knowing everything has been normalized.
I'm not sure I understand what you want to do with your dipole. Do you want to have it run at the same time as your plane wave? Or is it the experimental spectral density that you want to inject in your simulation?
And what do you mean by "did not converge" ? What did you get ?
