in order to to extract the shape of an interested object from image using Fourier descriptors, what are the steps for it? what are the MATLAB functions useful for it? how would i get the boundary pixels of that object. if any one knows the implementation part/links please tell me.

You might want to look into computing Fourier transforms for your images and match them with descriptors of object-of-interest. Look into matlab function fft2. Here is a detailed explained example how fft2() can be used on images.

Fourier descriptors cannot *extract* the shape of objects. As the name indicates, they *describe* something; in this context, they describe the contour of 2D objects using a representation in the Fourier domain.
The contour of binary blobs (2D objects) can be extracted in many different manners. One possibility is to compute two new versions, one based on erosion, and a second based on dilatation. The difference of these two new images yields an initial contour. However, some post-processing is required to obtain a thin line surrounding the object.
