I need to know how to get permission to reuse some previous pictures for the next coming paper and different journal. I read some article in which some previous experimental setup pictures is republished with the permission of previous original author and copy right journal.
If original previous author has no objection to republish his article picture then what is procedure ? Just agree on email or any letter head or signature required ?
How to deal or communicate with copy right journal ? because I did not find any simple link or heading to get permission. Please guide !!
SECOND QUESTION:
Second question is about DATA plotting. If we have our own results. Now we are comparing with previous graph. So that one graph line shows present study and other line shows previous study. I saw many practices to draw other authors line in the article. People just use a software to know the points of that line and plot it again.. Is it right.. ?

in light of my experience, you need to contact both the author of the article and the last journal where the article and the images have been published. Usually, when a table or an illustration have been published elsewhere, the author needs to obtain a written consent for republication from the copyright holders. To this purpose, many journals have specific license forms, which can be downloaded and filled/signed.
Also, rest assured to inform the journal where you will publish your new work that you possess the needed consent.
Finally, when publishing the images in your new contribution, the original source must be mentioned in every caption under the interested pictures.

Your answer is quite specific. I am also searching the same theme as you mentioned

But I couldn't find this type of form regarding my interested journal. "www.elsevier.com/locate/ijmulflow"
what is your suggestion now ? Should I send email to the editor of that journal ??

yes, I think you should write a message to the editor of the journal, asking for advice from him/her. This is the best option, in my opinion.
