If you have a data set, then try fitting the Gaussian distribution to your data. After that, you can extract the mean, μ, and the standard deviation, σ. See examples here:

Find the mean, median and standard deviation of your data for each attribute. You can use the 'fuzzy' tool in Matlab. It will ask for number of

membership functions you need. You need to specify the 'min' and 'max'

value and choose the type of membership function to 'gaussian'.
