Imagine, the electromagnetic wave falls on to the dielectric medium from the air.

Reflection coefficient: Г = (Zm - Zo)/(Zm+Zo);

Transmission coefficient: T = Г + 1 = 2*Zm/(Zm+Zo);

where Zm - impedance of the medium;

Zo = 377 Ohm - impedance of the air (approximately).

It is very general and and even electromagnetic starts from this topic onwards. Refer any book, like "Jordan and Balmain" for your reference and there you can find different relations and equations for transmission line for TEM mode. Use any HFSS vedio from an internet, for your design help.
