That depends on what the metal complexes are.

You might be able to try a conductimetric titrationt determine the charge on your species in solution. Adding silver nitrate will precipitate out AgCl, so you can determine how many Cl- anions are in solution.

Or you could try mass spec, that should give you some very accurate data on the charge and mass of your metal complex in solution (although water may not be the ideal solvent)
