I am trying to estimate landslide debris volume. The commonly used technique is to create a pre-event DEM and a Post-event DEM, and subtract them. This process involves buying stereopair imagery and it can be expensive when you are working in a large area. I was wondering if there is any way to extract the elevation data from historical image functionality on Google Earth Pro.
Unfortunately, it is impossible with Google Earth. No sequence of different DEM for different times in the Google Earth. You could identify the areas where DEM were changed for some reasons (landfalls, earthquakes, etc.), but you could not measure it. You need stereo images, or geodesy data. In some cases you could unveil some aspects of changing of the DEM - for example, if coastline was changed.
Creat points in the désires area in the google earth, as much you creat as accurate data will cet. Go to the Link below:

Upload the file, choose plain text as an Output field
The data now ready to copy it or download it.
The new file, Edit with Notepad, layer, add layer, add delimited layer
Tick the Tab & choose custom delimiters. Choose point coordinates for the geometry definition, and EPSG:4326-WGS84 for the geometry CRS
Click on its button, click on the desired file, desktop, QGIS, the targeted file, open, close.
On the Notepad:
HCMGIS, BaseMap, Google map
Open the attribute table to create DEM using any of the interpolation techniques
Choose the Extent; select Extent on Canvas
(for the pixel size choose;x=0.003, y=0.000300)
In the view part keep press and drag on the points layer, RUN
Wait for the process, close.
No you got your DEM
Just use the google earth to view the historical images then apply this process.
