Hard to say something without an error code but probably you are running out of memory. What is the size of that dcd file?

Browse psf file first in GUI and after that while browsing dcd file set stride option to 500 (for instance that means load every 500th frame).

You can reach all data using CatDCD.

They removed these options in new versions and it auto-detects the filetype.
