Population growth and the quest for survival are part of the problems facing forests across the globe. Meanwhile, mankind needs forest for its economic, utilitarian and touristic values. Satellite imagery provides pictorial evidence that can be used to convince the general public and government about the impact of man on the forests. It can show the rate of land cover changes. This present study aims at unveiling the satellite imagines of selected forest in southeast Nigeria and the implications. There is the need for the authors to review literature related to this type of study and best method to apply. Suggestions and provision of materials are welcomed from any will scholars.
