How to estimate parameters of Asymmetric Power Distribution in R or MATLAB?

My objective function is:

max L=(1/s)Sum[(yi-b)^p]1(yib)

where y and b can takes any number in real line and s>0. I want to estimate b, s, and p. How to estimate these in R or MATLAB?
