Forest Canopy Base Height (CBH) describes the average height from the ground to a forest stand's canopy bottom. Specifically, it is the lowest height in a stand at which there is enough forest canopy fuel to propagate fire vertically into the canopy. Can enyone give me a links to scintific articles with a clear methodology (step by step) how to estimate Forest Canopy Base Height using remote sensing data? I will be appriciated for links on books, tutorials or write me directly :) Thanks in advance!
