Hi everyone, I have calcium imaging data recorded from the primary auditory cortex of mice, following the pre-processing of the imaging session, I get a 3-dimensional matrix of calcium traces (N neurons X Frames X Trials).

I was wondering how to calculate the firing rate for each neuron.

I found an equation to do so: ΔF/F = α * ΔR/R + β, but I would like to know how to estimate alpha and beta based on my data? also, I'm open to other suggestions on how to calculate the firing rate.

Thank in advance
