I want to explore on how these internet audiences portray themselves through their social media posts, comments and use of hashtags. I am looking for ways on how to do it, any RRL or RRS and theory?
I think the best approach to better understanding this topic might be through surveys and in-depth, qualitative interviews. Not sure if you're interested in the correlation between identity and motivations for online engagement, but our participants in these studies regularly discussed their reasons for engaging in online spaces.
