It looks like titanite, typically rhombus-shaped, with high optical relief, very typical in amphibolites.

Please find attached, just for comparison, two images of my thin section (with one polar, and with crossed polarizers) showing crystals of clinozoisite (with blueish interfrence colors) and a crystal aggregate of titanite (brownish with higher relief), right next to each other, in an amphibolite from the Eastern Alps, Austria. Width of images 0.5 mm.

I think it could be zoisite, I have several photo-micrographs and I am confirming the presence of zoisite , present blueish interference colors with high relief.

The mineral is definitely of the epidote group, most commonly clinozoisite with anomalous bluish grey to slightly brownish grey interference colours in different cross-sections, and of small extinction angle ; zoisite is infrequent, usually with pronounced bluish interference colours and has parallel extinction. There is also frequent epidote present in the section, but its interference colours are high so it is not a problem to distinguish it from the other two. The epidote group minerals are frequent in amphibolite and in amphibole schists.

before embarking on an endless journey of speculations try and separate this mineral (magnetic separation, heavy liquids) and enrich it to the extent so as to achieve a precise XRD pattern and you are on the save side. If you have additional EMPA at hands it is much better.
