In case of metasurface loaded patch antenna the values of permittivity and permeability vary over a given frequency range. They can be negative also. The how to calculate inset feed dimensions in case of such antennas ? What modification should be done in conventional microstrip line equations? The same can be applied to determination of feed location.
If you are using EM simulators such as HFSS or CST, you can just start with values calculated from the conventional microstrip line equations and then using optimetrics analysis to sweep on the inset feed parameters until get your desired return loss values.
Thanks Ehab K. I. Hamad Sir. That approach seems true. But if I want to verify the optimetrics results with theoretical results then? And if I vary patch length, width and feed simultaneously, then parametric analysis creates a table of more than 300 values without sync option. In such cases, the com engine fails during the process due to intense CPU processing. Is there any option?
