Hi! I'm currently using TM-213 UV-AB Meter that have UV sensor spectrums band pass from 290 nm to 390 nm with peak sensitivity wavelength of 365 nm. I'm using it to determine the value of UV intensity that penetrate on tempered glass & acrylic. I have the value already which are for tempered glass is 1.66 mW/cm2 & for acrylic is 2.11 mW/cm2. I'm currently want to know how to determine the UV protection percentage based on the value that I already have. Are there different method to determine the UV protection percentage?
UV protection percentageis based on a ration of the incident UV light (UVA and UVB) and the transmitted light trough your different type of glasses.
So 2 measurements with the same instrument are necessary for this purpose.
I suggest to make the 2 measurements in the direct sun flux and an other 2 measurements on the diffuse sky (no direct sun)
Ratio should not depend on the intensity of the incident light but could depend on the relative spectral distribution of the sun light.
