Please can i get some information about to determine the suitable date for crop sown using Moisture Adequacy Index (MAI).
I gone through some of articles, they have calculated first historical MAI using AET and PET, after that present MAI using measured/recorded weather data and future MAI using forecast data. by the help of these 3 time period MAI value, how to determine the suitable sown date for particular region.
How to calculated the MAI for different soil layers.

It is, in fact, a true representative of moisture effectivity so definitely you may determine the suitable crop sown date in a cropping season accordingly provided the cultivar also supports the season.
