Hello ICP-MS colleagues, I have one question regarding the quantification of phosphorus in calcium phosphate biomaterials using ICP-MS. In this particular knowledge niche a common parameter to describe these materials is the Ca/P ratio. However, the quantification of P in calcium phosphates is often not accurate at all. During my PhD I kept hearing that this is caused by an interference of some molecule that the detector recognizes as P, but I could never find any paper explaning this phenomenon. If you know some bibliography I could read about this I would be very grateful :)
