I am experiencing issues with some second language students who write their English assignments (that are not translation assignments) by using machine translation.
Their writing assignment is not a translation from their first language to a second language; they are prompted to write essays directly in English (their second language). I am certain some students used an MT tool (they wrote their essay in their L1 and translated it automatically), but I cannot prove it. Is there any software that detects MT, MT tags, etc.? Thanks

There are certain detector one can use to recognize if a text is AI generated or not like AI text classifier, GPTZero, Originality.ai , Copyleaks etc.
