I wish to design an anammox base waste water treatment plant for South Africa; What are the requirements for this Tertiary treatment process in South African context?

Dear Muzi Ngwenya ,

We use no tertiary treatment for nitrogen removal because we integrate anammox in our advanced secondary treatment via simultaneous partial nitritation (NH3+ + O2 > NO2-) and anammox denitritation (NO2- + NH3+ > inert N2 gas + H2O) in the most energy efficient way.
