Hi, my name is Ivan, and working as a Spatial Analyst in NGO. We are currently developing a Project Design Document (PDD) related to the REDD+ Project under Verra certification by referring to the VMD0007, BL - UP module (Unplanned Deforestation). I want to ask technical questions to everyone who has experience related to the module mentioned.
In terms to project future deforestation, we need to define the RRL boundary which has a certain requirement. And, in the module mentioned that the area of forest in RRL must be equal to the area of the RDD (±25%). What's the mean of "±25%"? Whereas it's clearly mentioned "must be equal to".

I have checked that references and am still confused about the "±25%", like the image attached (red rectangle). It mentioned that the forest proportion must = RRD ±25%. What does it mean? size of RRL is 25% of the size RRD?
It means that the forest proportion must be between 75% and 125% of the RRD. As long as the proportion of forest falls within this range, it is acceptable to use it to define the RRL boundary.
Let me know if that is not clear and I will try to explain again.

Ivannalis - The ±25% seems to be fairly arbitrary, but there is not often a scenario where the area of forest in the RRL will be exactely 100% of the RRD. By adding or subtracting 25% from the 100% (or equal) area, the range of 75% - 125% allows for a more realistic designation of the RRL. I'm afraid that is about all I can tell you.
