I am very interested to continue with postdoctoral studies after finishing PhD research. But I am wondering how to apply for postdoctoral position especially in the US school? What procedures I need to go through before applying for postdoctoral position and what criteria they look for?
I am PhD of counseling in Kharazmi University and I want to study on school counseling.
By presenting proposal to certain supervisor , then after agreement get scholarship from university at least one year
As far as I know Fullbright fellowships are covering the Post PhD studies. You have to be under 5 years after PhD defense! Look the office of the Fullbright in your country or ask for information from the USEmbassy.

Postdoctoral studies requires that your PhD is younger than 5 years (in other words, you graduated less than 5 yrs ago with your PhD), have good number of articles (at least 3 in high impact journals), then search for professors in your area of interest/research, contact them, communicate and state what you want (if you both agree) before you apply to the school/university.
