How to combine 16s and shotgun metagenomics library?

I would like to pool my 16s and shotgun metagenomics (MGX) library on a single lane to minimize sequencing costs. Does anyone have experience in combining 16S and MGX libraries, is there any important issue that I should consider such as the compatibility of the adapter?
