Recently, I want to construct a conditional knock-out mouse to be crossed with a gene-specific flox mouse. But I can not determine which Cre mouse could I choose precisely. The gene I focused on influence facial deformity and cause General developmental delay, intellectual disability. The MRI of the patient's brain show Enlarged lateral ventricle, decreased white matter in posterior horn of lateral ventricle, hypertrophy of gyrus, hypoplasia of corpus callosum. Therefore, I want to choose the Cre mice related to brain or neural development. However, there were still a lot of Cre mice strains to be selected, like Math-1 Cre, Nestin Cre, and so on. I want to find some experience about choosing Cre mice of brain or neural research field. Thanks a lot.
