i have got difficulties in measuring transverse &ap diameter of jugular foramen.& in calculating area
You can do it with the help of image j software.take photographs and then measure the dimensions with this software

Try vernier calipre
close the lower end of the jugular foramen. fill the jugular foramen with silicone sealant, once it dries you will get the cast of the jugular foramen. you can take the tranverse and AP diameter easily
