I've seen papers that used the average of all indicators, and papers that used the score generated in smart pls for the second order construct.
One option could be to use the SMART-PLS for measurement evaluation and strctural analysis. Recent developments in partial least squares structural equation modelling postulate that PLS-SEM provides better results than PROCESS for mediation and conditional process analysis. Sarstedt et al. (2020) postulate that composite-based structural equation modelling is a better approach than PROCESS (Hayes, 2018) when running mediation and conditional process analysis.
