A modified method of Haug et al 2002 was used where fresh human RBCs were washed with PBS. PBS , test sample and RBC suspension were incubated for one hour and after centrifugation absorbance of the supernatant was measured at 550nm.0.1% triton X 100 and PBS were used to define baseline and 100% haemolysis.
