I am working on a project to reduce energy consumption on blower. Which flow is controlled with dampers. So, in place of damper i can use SPRS system to control the flow and i want to calculate there will be saving or not. If yes then how much?

Blower energy consumption depends on air to be handled(load) by blower. With the use of damper load would be reduced if the air to be handled is reduced, which would reduced the energy consumption,and power could be measured by measuring current at applied(constant)voltage, and power factor considered constant(W=VICos(phi)) and energy=(W)(time).
Hi Anurag,
The Power savings Vs investment costs need to be considered as well. The new VFDs available in the market has lot of potential in power saving than using a Damper.
