You can typically draw band alignment diagram based on a few band parameters, whose absolute values are known by experiment and DFT calculations. The simplest way to construct a band alignment diagram is to consider the workfunctions (WF) of your metals or electron affinities (EA) for semiconductors, and place them relative to a vacuum level. WF and EA are always defined as a negative number from the reference vacuum level. For any drawing software, you can place a vacuum level at an arbitrary location, then place your materials band levels at their WF/EA below the vacuum level by scaling them accordingly. E.g., EA for Silicon is ~4 eV. You can create a scale in your drawing software (even powerpoint) such that 1 eV = 1 cm, and place Si band level 4 cm below the vacuum level. More information here:

For compound materials like III-V or Transition metal dichalcogenides, bandgaps between conduction band (CB) and valence band (VB) are known.
