How to avoid caking of hydroscopic crystals inside vibrating fluid bed dryer? What are the physics behind this phenomenon? What are the general reasons for caking of crystals? (explanations of liquid and solid bridges are quite complex, may someone explain this in a household way?)

Caking depends on many factors. One of these, perhaps the more important, is the distance between the wet particles. In other words, caking depends on the bed porosity. You need high porosity, difficult to get in a classical fluidized bed. A circulating fluidized bed could work. Mind you, in this case, particle attrition/breakage may occur, that is, the mean particle size will decrease with time. Search the Internet with key words "circulating fluidized bed".
