I have gone through a novel paper (attached) on Bandpass Filter Using Coupled Lines. There author has shown the current distribution in fig6. There, above this fig. author mentions" Along the transmitting region (3.5 GHz), the current distribution is the dominant (Fig. 6(a)). Contrariwise, at 5.6 GHz, the maximal RF current concentrates near the first line, and thus, no energy flows can transmit from the input to output of the filter (Fig. 6(b)). "

How to understand current distribution in Pass band as there also maxm current (red) is in centre..i.e maximum absorption.. ??So how to explain such diagrams...

In my view,power should be more absorbed at middle in stop band and minimum in passband sothat more power can be transmitted toport2.

kindly guide on this issue...
