In want to add the effect of point mass located above at an offset from a particular beam element. The location of point mass is such that it is lying in between the two nodes of beam element. This beam element is in turn connected to another beam elements. Then if I add effect directly to one of the node of the beam element of interest is ok or should I add the effect to both the nodes of the beam element as point mass is lying in between the nodes beam element at an offset from the beam.
