Cleaning of glassware for RDE was explained very clearly by Garsany et.al. But, for the teflon cell, the plastic cap of a glass cell, stopper and teflon tubes, what cleaning way is proper and satisfied? I think a strong acid treatment should not be a good way of cleaning them. Please provide advice about it?
Piranha solution can be used for cleaning glassware and Teflon too but not suitable for plastic.

Usually I clean the teflon cups with a three steps procedure:
1) Immersion in hot permanganate acid solution for 1 hour, and then washing with water
2) Immersion in H2O2 acid solution to remove de MnO and then washing with water
3) Immersion in sulfonitric solution for a hour, following by a carefully washing step.
Depend on the materials, the procedure must be adapted.
