I just want to add one more aspect of internet-based information resources. These resources most of the time are not authentic. So it is better to check the resource from authentic or official websites. There is no mechanism nowadays to filter the fake information from the internet.
I think it depends on various factors. One important factor is the website owner. For example, if you use a governmental website, you can trust it. But, if you go to weblogs, forums, social media, etc. you should never use them as a source of information. In addition, if you see any information in Wikis, you should find the primary source of information which has been presented by the Wiki.
When it goes to health information, the credibility of websites is of much importance and in addition to the credibility of the website, you should consider the credibility of information as well. Overall, I can suggest you not give reference to a website unless you had to!
