How nitrogen fixation ability of Azotobacter on solid media? please give exact composition. We tried GNFMM but it produced yellow color rather blue?

You can use N-free media, you can use Jensens Medium. Following is composition:
Composition:
Ingredients Gms / Litre
Sucrose 20.000
Dipotassium phosphate 1.000
Magnesium sulphate 0.500
Sodium chloride 0.500
Ferrous sulphate 0.100
Sodium molybdate 0.005
Calcium carbonate 2.000
Agar 15.000

Thank you for your answer. We need to check the nitrogen fixing ability of Azotobacter and literature says that on GNFMM medium with BTB produces blue color. We are getting yellow rather blue. Even reference Azotobacter also giving yellow color,I would like to know the composition of GNFMM medium with BTB.

Dear Mr. Patel, We had tried this protocol earlier but not worked. Even our reference Azotobacter also produced yellow color. I am looking help from someone who had performed this assay.
