I think the most important to answer your question is to make an emphasis that there common species for Schistosoma, Including:

Schistosoma mansoni - found across sub-Saharan Africa and some South American countries.

S. haematobium - found in Africa and some places/countries in the Middle East.

S. japonicum - found in China, the Philippines, and Sulawesi. Despite its name; infection has not anymore reported in Japan for over 50 years.

Then we have rare species of Schistosoma in certain places/countries. These include:

S. guineensis (West Africa).

S. mekongi (Cambodia and Laos).

S. intercalatum (Democratic Republic of the Congo)

Schistosoma S. bovis,

S. curassoni, S. mattheei (Corsica, some West African countries).
