How is the reliability of student final course grades assessed?

I factor analyzed a sample of undergraduate student core course grades. Two factors emerged from this analysis. How do I assess the reliability of these factors? Coefficient alpha does not seem to be a good fit. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
