Shakespeare's works have been studied by many scholars and in such depth that further study of them is viewed rather quite pessimistically in my country. How is Shakespeare received in literary circles in your country these days? Is it logical to stop writing on his works because he has been studied by many and because Shakespeare scholarship has become so much elitist in essence? Should I ask my students to write on modern and postmodern dramatists instead of writing on Shakespeare even if they are interested in him? I guess an article written on Beckett or Pinter attracts more readers than on Shakespeare. What do you think?
