Dear researchers, I am trying to launch two out-of-phase pulses (the third pulse of the attached image) into a plasmonic waveguide in FDTD Lumerical, but I do not know how, Is it ant way? Thanks in advance.
Thanks, but I do not know how to change the phase of the input, it seems that defining the phase is not possible is FDTD. the type of the input used is the mode source.
If you have the possibility to write freely the equation of your source in FDTD Lumerical than try to write a plane wave multiplied by two Gaussian with opposite signs with a delay between them.
To emit an impulse, I use to write something like : E0.exp(-i(kz-wt).Gaussian.
I think that if you do the same and you multiply by another Gaussian with negative sign, it should give you two impulses as drown in your picture.
Thank you for your answer, please take a look at the attached file. Actually I had tried changing the phase option before, however, as it can be seen, there is no change in the temporal input.
I put -1 instead of +1, but when I checked the source again, before run the simulation -1 had been changed to 0, and after simulation, the temporal input was 0, anyway I really appreciate your help and look for more help if you have another solution for this problem. Thank you again.
