Obviously there is option of inserting wall in between frames where even the properties can be modified. But can this option give the perfect result? Since masonry wall is the combination of brick and mortar is there any option in Sap 2000 taking them in count?
Sir , On E-tabs, By defining this material properties Mass per unit Volume , weight per unit volume , Modules of elasticity , Poisson's ratio may be worked. Material is orthotropic due to temperature variation of inner and outer walls.
Dear Kaosar, your mentioned properties can also be changed In SAP 2000 as well. But the question is can change of the properties give the same result as in actual case?
Sir , I am not sure about that for same result. But SAP 2000 and Etabs are same company software of Computers and Structures, Inc . On Etabs masonry wall or shear wall designed this way. So, Procurement, i guess same as SAP 2000.
